It’s a misconception, or perhaps something a bit worse, that’s taking a little too long to die. Surely a lot longer than I expected at first. The concept that men don’t have to put effort to style and, ultimately, take care of their hair and, in fact, their whole bodies is one that’s long overdue for an overhaul.
A modern woman will want her modern man to be good looking. And that’s more than just rugged good looks and filling a pair of jeans. The modern man needs to care for his appearance, so he can look good now and ensure that his good looks will carry him into the future. There’s nothing worse than looking at a couple the same age and realize that the man has aged dramatically while the woman has kept her beauty going with simple care.
Fortunately, there are good news in this field. Ghd hair straighteners have launched a special mini styler that’s especially designed for short hair. And the good people at ghd wasted no time in marketing this straightener for men. And with its black finishing, what men won’t feel manly using it? Besides, with the amount of ladies you’ll be attracting with your good looks, there’s really no better way to go.

Most women have at least one area of their body that they are unhappy with. For most, it is the tummy, thigh or bottom area.
Thankfully there is an easy solution that can help women look slimmer and feel more confident. Shapewear is body slimming undergarments that can help keep your curves under control. It is far more comfortable and discreet than the corsets and girdles of the past and most modern shapewear is made from a material called Spandex which is stretchy, breathable and lets you move around freely.
Perhaps you have just spent a fortune on a stunning mew dress only to be disappointed that there are a few bulges showing underneath. Fear not for there is a shapewear garment just for you.
Firstly go to a good retail store and get yourself measured properly. Most women are wearing the wrong bra size. Then decide which problem area you would like to target. You don’t need a huge body shape garment if you just want to target your tummy. Control pants have a control panel that smoothes and holds your stomach in. Some have thigh control as well. These are particularly good under trousers as it eliminates the ‘visible panty line.’ Waist nipper briefs shape and trim the waist area only.
Shapeware slips are good for wearing under skirts or dresses as they give a smooth and seamless outline.
You also need to decide what control level you want as they range from light control to very firm.
Make sure you try the shapewear on before buying it. If you are buying it to go under a particular outfit, make sure you take the outfit with you into the changing room. It also helps if you have a good honest friend along as well.
Many well known celebrities wear Spanx shapewear so you will be in good company!

It’s not a secret for anyone that the world of fashion is oriented towards the feminine sex. Although maybe not controlled by the women, it’s definitely organized around the girls. And it’s in this world, where men are the weaker sex without shadow of a doubt, that the battle for equality is the hardest. And it’s not just the high couture world that’s this biased towards women, it’s the whole industry of clothes, accessories, models, photographers and even designer and fashion publications and magazines. It’s even something that bleeds into the mainstream world of “normal” people. If not, ask yourself: how many female top-models do you know? Claudia Schiffer? Tyra Banks? Naomi Campbell? How about men? How many do you know?
But the trend seems to be changing, not towards leaning more to men, but towards giving men more fashion clothing and accessory lines. Designer menswear designers, courses and shops are popping around all over the Globe as men have finally said “enough is enough” and demanded that they’re given some help looking fabulous. And although we’re probably a long way from seeing the same time and money invested in men’s fashion as we do for women, at least men can look good.

It has long been a tradition to gift jewellery to children for their Christening. Hardly surprising as there is such a large array of wonderful designs available. Whether spending a small amount of money or something more expensive, the child will have a treasure to value through their ongoing years.
When it comes to christening jewellery a small expanding bracelet of silver or gold is a great choice for a little girl. Silver can be purchased from around £10 upwards, gold being more expensive. Charm bracelets are also popular as delicate charms can be added at birthdays, Christmas and other anniversaries. Some jewellery designers offer a range of links and beads, which are very popular at the moment. What’s more bracelets and necklaces can be found at good High Street jewellers, and also online.
Delicate gold chains are also a popular christening jewellery choice for both girls and boys. Pendants of teddy bears, fairies, or butterflies are a suitable for girls, while miniature cars, bikes or blocks are fantastic for boys.
A pair of earrings may also be suitable for a Christening gift – many cultures have their babies ears pierced at quite a young age. Care does need to be taken though as the earring can be easily pulled, causing damage to the ear. It’s best to choose a small neat stud rather than anything too elaborate.
A novel idea for a unique Christening gift for either boy or girl is an item of ‘fingerprint’ jewellery. The baby’s fingerprint is captured in a mould and set in a piece of silver. Just call into a High Street jewellery store or request that a kit been sent out to you. Starting at £40, bracelets, charms and pendants are among the many different items available.
Christening jewellery has always been a popular gift choice, and with such an array of fantastic choice it’s hardly surprising.

Looking for plus size clothing, why not try shopping online? If you search online for “plus size clothing”, you will be spoiled for choice. There are lots of websites specializing in plus size clothing – probably much more choice than in your local High Street. What could be better than sitting at the computer in your own home in comfort and choosing a new wardrobe? But you may feel a little uneasy about shopping online and be a bit worried in case it doesn’t fit or just doesn’t suit. But don’t worry, online companies usually make it easy to return clothes if necessary.
However, there are some tips. First of all, if you haven’t already got one, buy a measuring tape and measure your waist, hips and chest to ensure you have the correct size. Don’t cheat, be brutally honest and don’t try tightening the measuring tape so you’ll fit into a size 18 instead of a size 20! Many websites have size guides and will even advise you how to measure yourself for the correct sized bra.
You probably have a good idea of what styles and colours suit you, but if you see a new style you like but are not sure if it will suit you, don’t be frightened to visit the High Street shops and try it on. This also gives you a chance to check out the types of colours, materials and fibres which suit you, make you feel good and feel gorgeous against your skin. Then you can order on line with confidence.
Online retailers often have better choices for the smaller and taller types and have trousers for longer/shorter legs. So you won’t need to spend time altering clothes. Some websites even have advice on the best styles for the different types of shapes.

There are a few simple steps you can take to help your new tongue piercing heal up nicely. It is essential you stick to these rules as the risk of infection is much higher if you fail to do these things.
You must notice what you are eating in the first few days after you have your piercing done. Avoid hot and spicy foods that may cause irritation to the wound – instead stick with liquid foods such as soups and mashed food which are easier to digest and less likely to get caught in your piercing.
You also must take car of your oral hygiene, always rinse out with an anti-bacterial mouthwash after you have eaten and in the morning and evening. Alternatively a saline solution (household salt mixed with water) can be gargled, the salt water helps heal the wounds and speeds up the whole healing process.
Finally, however tempting it may be, do not fiddle with or change your body jewellery. This will only inflame your new piercing and take longer to heal. Wait until it is ready and then you can change your tongue piercing without any troubles.

Finding the perfect dress can be a life long hunt. After all, your style and opinions will change through out your life, not to mention your body shape. Depending on a few key points, your perfect dress will vary greatly. Here are a few pointers when you’re in the clothes shop hunting for that perfect dress.
First, decide if you are looking for formal, or casual? A dress can really only fit under these two categories, and sometimes both depending on the accessories you pair it with. Try to think of what you will more commonly need, odds are it is a casual dress. After all, a casual dress can be made formal with the right shoes and accessories. It is harder to dress down a formal gown. Choosing a dress that is somewhere in the middle is also a good idea. If you are going to put out the money for a great outfit, you want to be able to wear it is often as possible, and not have it sitting in your closet waiting for that perfect occasion to wow the crowd.
Second, decide the cut that suits you best. This is a tricky part, and very important to find the most flattering dress possible. There are many different kinds of cuts, and you may have to try on several before you realize which is right for you. Strapless, for example, isn’t the best choice for those who have a larger bust, and are self conscious about their arms. A more flattering cut for those with a larger bust would be the halter, which gives support and flatters your “assets”. If you want to lengthen your legs, try to get a dress that has a hem just below the knee. If you are self conscious about your legs, try not to get anything that hits mid thigh, this can be unflattering.
Third is color. This will depend heavily on your complexion and hair color. However, there are a few colors that suits just about everyone. A golden yellow, a bright turquoise and a true red are great fall backs. They are flattering to the skin tone and accentuate your features. There are also many patterns to consider. Bold patterns can help conceal your tummy, and draw the eye elsewhere. They are also a great statement, so find a color and pattern combination that suits your style and personality.
