Once upon a time there was a woman who got a free trial to a dating site. She joined. It was an act motivated mostly by curiosity. She spent the beginning making her profile perfect. Finding the right pictures, phrasing her information the right way. She spent the next bit of time going through her matches. Some of the men were cute, some were not. Some of the men were interesting, some were not. She indicated to a few of them that she was interested. She had a short conversation with a man who had potential.
After a few hours playing around with the site, she logged off and went to bed. She’d explore some more the next day.
The next day she signed in and it seemed that so much had happened while she was gone! She started looking at the men who had contacted her. She responded to one of them. She went to browse some of the other men on the site.
And she froze.
There, staring at her from his profile picture, was her ex-boyfriend. Could he see her too? Was he looking at her profile? What were the odds? he’d be on here She logged off quickly, wondering what on earth she should do next…
